The Hugs Are Back: Celebrating the Joy of Our Reunion

There is a special kind of magic that fills the hallways of Jebel Ali Nursery, but nothing compares to the sparkle in the air when our wonderful community comes together again. After a quiet break, our recent reunion was a heart-warming reminder of why we do what we do. The “hugs are back,” and our hearts are officially full!

A Morning of Pure Joy

The atmosphere was electric from the moment the first families arrived. From our tiniest explorers in the Baby & Infants section to our confident FS2 leaders, the nursery was buzzing with laughter, chatter, and most importantly, those long-awaited embraces. Seeing our little ones reconnecting with their friends and teachers was a beautiful sight that truly captured the essence of the JAVN family.

The Power of the First Embrace

The heart of the day was found in the classrooms, where the children’s return brought every corner back to life. Instead of a standard greeting, the day was defined by the warmth of personal connection.

The Vibe: Pure, unfiltered joy. You can see it in the children’s bright eyes as they spot a favorite teacher or best friend.
The Activity: From high-energy “Hug Tunnels” during circle time to gentle reunions in the play corners, the focus was on rebuilding those vital social bonds through play and affection.
Recreating the Best Moments
Beyond the initial reunions, the classrooms were packed with activities designed to spark creativity and laughter:
  • The “Memory Lane” Creative Corner: Children engaged in sensory play and art projects that allowed them to express how much they missed their nursery environment.
  • Storytime Circles: A dedicated moment where everyone gathered to share stories and songs, proving that even after time apart, our classroom traditions and inside jokes remain perfectly intact.
  • Building Together: Cooperative play with blocks and puzzles helped the children jump right back into teamwork and shared discovery.
Taking the Warmth Home
At Jebel Ali Nursery, we believe the smallest gestures create the biggest smiles. To celebrate our reunion at our Al Zahia branch, we wanted to give our little ones a truly “lively” welcome back.

Each child was delighted to receive their very own pet fish, a special shimmering gift to symbolise new beginnings and the joy of caring for another living thing. These tiny new friends brought a sense of wonder to the day, turning a simple homecoming into an unforgettable adventure. Seeing the children’s faces light up as they met their new companions was the perfect way to mark our reunion, ensuring the magic of the day continues to swim on at home!
