All our qualified teachers and class assistants are trained to give your child the optimal attention that he or she needs. Every educator of Jebel Ali Village Early Childhood Centre has a sound knowledge of the British curriculum and follows the EYFS framework to develop and nurture your child. We maintain the teacher child ratio as per the EYFS regulations, enabling your child to effectively learn and develop their knowledge, skills and social behaviour at their own individual pace.

Our experienced branch managers offer a wealth and depth of experience in Early Years childhood Development. Management lead their teams of competent professionals to ensure the individual development needs are met for all children in our care.

CLARISSA DILL

Manager

Motor City Branch

Ms. Clarissa has been with JAVN family for 13 wonderful years. She started out as a teacher and now a manager at Motor City branch. She has worked with children since her teenage years and she particularly love working in the Early Years’ education sector. She finished her Master’s Degree in Child Development at Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts and her Cache level 5 at Quests here in Dubai.

17 years ago, she moved to Dubai from her beautiful country of Bermuda, got married and now raising 4 lovely children, 2 dogs, who are called Chewy and Bella and a bearded dragon named Spike.

SUSAN JAYNE BIGGS

Manager

Polo Branch

After a challenging yet fulfilling career in catering in the UK where she is from, Ms. Sue moved to Dubai in 2008 to pursue a role that would give her a sense of purpose – working with children! She started her journey with JAVN in 2009 as a teaching assistant then progressed her way up by attending several teacher’s training and worked on her qualifications to become a nursery teacher. Her aim has always been to make others feel safe, comfortable and secure, making a nursery feel like a home away from home, and also to mentor other teachers to challenge themselves and be the best they can too. With this in mind, she completed the training and gained the qualifications to become a manager. She now manages the polo branch of JAVN.

SONAL RADIA

Manager

Discovery Gardens Branch

With over 20 years of Early Years experience, Ms. Sonal’s philosophy in educating the children has always been the same – that each child is unique and should be given an equal opportunity to develop and learn at their own pace. She moved from the bustling city of London to Kenya to start her own family and finally settled in Dubai in 2000 to practice her profession as an educator. After teaching at a number of schools in the UAE, she joined JAVN 5 years ago first as an FS1 teacher and now as a manager at Discovery Gardens branch. Ms. Sonal obtained her qualification from The Scottish Preschool Play Workers Association, received her Cache Level 3 Diploma from Edexcel and will soon complete her Cache Level 5 Diploma at Quest.

Taroo Khanna

Manager

Al Furjan Branch

Mrs. Taroo Khanna moved to Dubai in 2014 after living in Africa and parts of the Middle East. She is a qualified CACHE Level 5 Early Childhood practitioner, NCFE CACHE Assessor. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, and PGD in Human Resources.
Mrs. Khanna is our branch manager at our Al Furjan branch. She has eleven years of experience of working in the Early Years settings. Her experience of working in inclusive setups has helps her understand and cater to individual children’s needs and manage challenges very effectively.
Her most cherished and humbling experience was working for three years as a volunteer in a small village school near Mombasa, Kenya. This encouraged her to leave her corporate job and become an early year’s practitioner. Originally from India, her understanding of diversity makes it easy for her to appreciate the diverse culture of Dubai.
She is an Ayurveda and Yoga enthusiast who enjoys camping and spending time in Cafes in her free time.

MICHELIINA GROSSI

Manager

JBR Branch

Ms. Michelle moved to Dubai in December 1988, when Sheikh Zayed Road did not even exist yet! She is married and had two wonderful children who grew up in the UAE and then moved on from here. Although with a background in economics, she started working at JAVN way back in 2003 and never looked back. From teaching, she went on to do administration and slowly advanced to senior management. During those years, she attended and completed many courses, CPDs and cache level 5 to keep up with the changing policies in the region. Outside work, Ms. Michelle enjoys walking on the beach and meeting up with friends.

Zia Ara

Manager

Al Zahia Branch

Ms. Zia was born and raised in India. She moved to the UAE in 2002. Ms. Zia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (English Literature) and Level 5 in Early Childhood Education. She is also currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Arts and Education Leadership from John Moore’s University UK. Ms Zia has the distinction of being a member of the Advisory Council of Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA).
Her wealth of education spans from working as a classroom teacher to leading a team of professionals within a number of schools in the UAE. With over 20 years of experience in teaching young learners, we are delighted to have her working with us as our manager at our nursery branch at Al Zahia Sharjah.
Ms. Zia’s philosophy is that every child is unique and no significant learning can occur without a significant relationship. This motivates her to see every child in their own light and capacity, which is clearly reflected in her innovative lesson plans.
Outside of work, she enjoys interior designing, home renovation, cycling, chess and spending time with her four wonderful children and adorable grandson.
